Hi Everyone!
The question I get most about still today is: “BUT, where do you get your protein from?”. Today I wanted talk about my 10 favourite sources of protein. If I would of started to list ALL the vegan sources of protein, the list would have been rather long so I am only talking about my 10 favourite foods that are rich in protein.
I used to be convinced that I would not have to worry about getting enough protein. After all, there are SO many sources of vegan protein. I however realised after a year that my protein intake was on the low side. I wasn’t being conscious enough of eating foods that are rich protein. After noticing this, I decided to start incorporating rich sources of protein in every meal that I ate. Since this, I have noticed a difference mainly in the health of my hair. It is now growing faster than ever which is so amazing because I was getting a bit worried about it not growing at one point.
I truly believe that with the vegan diet we can all live a healthy and thriving life BUT, whether vegan or not, it is so important to always be aware of the nutritional value of the food you are eating. I believe that by eating an abundance of plant based foods (the real stuff, aka not processed) filled with various nutrients is how when we are at our healthiest state. I highly recommend everyone, vegan or not, to use a chronometer every now and then to have a look see what the food is general missing whether that be protein or something else.
In conclusion, plant based foods are RICH in protein..you just have to make sure you eat enough of it. Here are my favourite sources:
- Kidney Beans
- Lentils
- Tofu
- Quinoa
- Green Peas
- Hemp Seeds
- Oats
- Chia Seeds
- Chickpeas
- Peanut Butter
Here is the video I made about this subject:
I hope this could help even one of you guys out! <3
LOTS of LOVE,
